A Village

Yesterday I went to a small village and helped install in water treatment system. I ended up mostly playing with the kids and taking pictures since the two men I went with are pros at installing the system. It was still an incredible experience. To see the people and to talk with them a bit was very humbling and eye opening. Chedlin, a man who runs an orphanage down the street from House of Hope, has been working with the village and is helping them understand how to run the water system. He told us that two of the kids at his orphanage came from the village. Chedlin also said that the people tried to give him all the children in the village because they can’t take care of them.

New Bunk Beds

A work team from St. Louis came in last week and assembled the bunk beds that their church donated. They also turned a storeroom into another bed room. This gives us room for three more orphans.
