Martelly Wants New Taxes for Schools

President-elect Martelly has laid out plans for taxes on international phone calls that would benefit schools in Haiti. The plan would raise about $36 million dollars every year.

Cholera Infection Numbers may be Higher

The number of people infected by Cholera in Haiti may continue to raise at a higher rate then first thought according to one study. Though, aid workers on the ground say the infection rate is slowing and no deaths have been reported in more than two months.
